Will my old plugins work with my new theme?

The answer is “it depends.” Some plugins that can be used with any WordPress install (like ours!) will likely still work. However, if you were using plugins created specifically for your old theme (e.g., a plugin designed and built specifically for a Genesis child theme you were running), these will no longer work with your new EmPress theme. Once your new theme has been installed, you can simply go to Plugins in your WordPress dashboard and deactivate these old plugins.

All EmPress plugins will be compatible with EmPress themes. The exception to this are our Color Pack and Font Customizer plugins, which were early products and are only compatible with specific themes. See the related articles section below for more on this!
