Hayes: Add a subtitle to your post

The Hayes theme allows users to add a subtitle to posts, which appears on the Grid feed layout of the Home Page, the Grid feed for native theme archival pages, as well as single post pages. Here is what the subtitle looks like in these places:

ADDING A SUBTITLE TO A POST

Subtitles may be added in the post editor of a blog post. 


CLASSIC EDITOR

If you are using Classic Editor, the subtitle field looks like this:

And here's a video showing you how to scroll down and find this setting:

Simple click into the field, and add your text, as shown above.


BLOCK EDITOR

If you are using Block Editor, the subtitle field looks like this:

Once your post editor is loaded, simply look for the Subtitle field on the right side of the Document tab settings.


HIDING THE SUBTITLE
