How to set up your about, shop, and link in profile pages

If you're used to the demo content, those pages are already set up for you and they're ready to go. You just need to go to the pages section in WordPress, click on whichever page you want to edit, and then you can just edit accordingly. Just like the rest of the templates on the site, you can add and remove sections as needed. 

Now let's say you already have your pages set up and you need to update them to the new theme templates. So we'll say that this is already existing content and you can go in and either remove anything that's already there or you may want to keep it there just for reference on any of your about page text and things like that. I'm going to go ahead and keep it here for now. And I'm going to go to the block inserter, go to patterns, and then pages and select the page template I want to use. 

Now, if you want to create a page that doesn't already exist on your site, so let's say that you don't have a shop page yet, you'll just go to add new page and then the pattern selector will pop up on the page. And then you can select one of the existing patterns to start your page with. 

So, in this case, if we're going to create a new shop page, we can just click on the shop page. And then template and it will automatically add everything that you need in that page. And then you can customize it from there. Keep in mind that some of the page templates have specific instructions in them so you'll want to pay attention to the text on the page to see what those instructions are. 

For example, the links page has specific instructions. We're going to choose the link and profile page pattern. And you'll see this page layout is designed to work best with the template page blank. So we're going to go over to templates and click on pages and swap template.

And now you'll see that you can choose a blank page template which doesn't have a header or a footer. We'll put in our title and then when we publish it you can view the page and you'll see that it's a full, a blank page template without the header and without the footer. 

If you're ever not sure what the page is going to look like and you want to check before you publish it, you can go to template and click on the template, click on the template preview option, and it'll show what that page is going to look like.
