How to customize your home page

When you open up the site editor it's going to open up to your homepage. So all you have to do is click into that and then click it once more and it'll tell you to edit your template to edit this block.  And then you can click edit template and it will load the template in the editor. Notice you can actually edit your header here too and those changes will apply sitewide.

So the Laguna template comes with two homepage layouts. Let's start with the default layout. The default layout has a featured post at the top and then a latest find section with call to action to shop all finds, two trending posts, a subscription box, latest posts, and then this navigation menu is supposed to link to categories, so that your readers can browse your different blog categories. And then it'll show the latest four posts with a side bar and then this is a link to the blog page to read all the blog posts. so if you've followed the tutorials for the site header and the site footer, editing a lot of this should be familiar to you at this point. It's again clicking to replace your items, clicking on text to change that, most of that is pretty straightforward.

You can customize this to show different posts. So, when I click on this particular post, I'm going to open up the list view and you can see all the blocks for this section.

Now, I'm going to look for this query block. This is kind of like an infinite list. So you can click on that and that's going to give you options for what displays here. Right here you can go ahead and add any filters that you have if you want to.

Alternate Homepage Layout

Now if you want to use the alternative homepage layout, you'll go to the template tab and click the three dots and click on replace template.
