How to customize your site footer

Let's customize your site footer. To do this you'll go to Appearance > Editor, click Patterns and under Template Parts select Footer to load the footer and start editing.

Add Navigation Menus

You may have to add some navigation menus here. We'll go ahead and click on those and assign them.

If you're not using Demo Content, you can just create a new menu instead and add those as you would editing your navigation menu. Just keep in mind that these particular menus don't accommodate sub-menus. That's really only a header menu thing where you would have drop-down menus. You don't really have drop-down menus in your footer.

Just like the header, everything that you see here is going to be click and edit. So you can click on the images, replace them, click on links, um to link them anywhere, change any of this text, add links to the text, and highlight what you'd like to highlight here. And similarly to the circle image links, you can also duplicate these sections if you'd like to add another column. Of course, you can see that the more that you add, the smaller those sections are going to be. So, you're not going to be able to use as long of a CTA for these sections or they're going to end up going on to a couple of lines.

At the bottom, we've got our Terms of Use. The copyright is actually not there by default, so I will show you how to add that. You'll hit the Add Blog button, click on Custom Link, just add a hashtag, just to get the message the link in place, and then we're going to go over to click into the settings for it and change the label to Copyright 2024.
