ISSUE: Post titles appear off center in Brevier theme
The default behavior for Brevier's post titles is to display the comment link/count to the right of the post title, with the post publication date at left. When comments are turned off sitewide, closed, or disabled for a blog post, the comment bubble icon/count will not appear, which causes Brevier's post titles to appear off center.
This article will walk you through how to address this issue:
TRY: Enabling Comments
There are two places to check and ensure comments have been enabled on your site:
FOR INDIVIDUAL BLOG POSTS
Open the post editor of a blog post whose title appears off center. Then, scroll down within the post editor to make sure comments are enabled. Here's an example if you are using Classic Editor:
And here's an example if you're using Block Editor:
FOR COMMENTS SITEWIDE
Second, check that you have enabled comments sitewide, and that they are not automatically closing too quickly.
- Go to Settings > Discussion.
- Under Default Post Settings, ensure that Allow people to submit comments on new posts is checked off.
- Then, make sure the Automatically close comments after __ days setting is unchecked.
Adjusting these settings will ensure comments remain open on your site, and the comment icon available within Brevier's blog feed.
TRY: Hiding the comment icon within Brevier's Customizer
If you have comments properly enabled, but do not wish to feature the comment bubble and count within Brevier's feed, you may hide it using settings within Brevier's Customizer.
1. Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Blog Feed
2. Within the Blog Feed tab, look for the Entry Meta section, then check off Hide post comment link. Checking this off will left align the blog post title, and display your post date (if enabled) at right.
