ISSUE: My Link in Profile fields aren't loading in the editor
If you’re using the new block editor that was released with WordPress 5.0, the Classic Editor plugin is required to run Link in Profile (here’s why). If you don’t already have it, you’ll see a notice to install and activate it during the installation process for Link in Profile.
Once you have installed and activated the Classic Editor plugin, go to Settings > Writing and make sure the “Allow users to switch editors” setting is set to “Yes.” Then, when you open your Link in Profile page for editing, you’ll see an option on the right to Switch to the Classic Editor. It looks like this:
From here, you can change the Page Attributes template and load the Link in Profile fields.
Alternatively, you can go to Settings > Writing, set the default editor to the Classic Editor, and only activate the Classic Editor plugin when you want to edit your Link in Profile page. Then, deactivate the Classic Editor plugin after editing to use the block editor for everything else. Some users prefer this for a cleaner editing experience.
We will be updating the Link in Profile plugin as soon as we WordPress allows for block editor compatibility!
